Yesterday I saw archived footage of the press conference titled California Legislators Respond to Proposition 8 Ruling. There were claims to entitlement of rights, not to be treated as ‘second class citizens’… on moral grounds, of course.
I found their arguments to be quite impressive at first, but something was not right…
Later that night as I pondered the propositions and conclusions it occurred to me that one cannot argue for morality and simultaneously deny it with every fiber of your essence.
When a lifestyle is defined by ones deviation from natural sexual practices, can one really argue it’s morality?
