Premise: Homosexuals are the vocal minority
Premise: Faithful heterosexual husbands are not often vocal about the benefits of their monogamy
Inference: Condoning pleasures and various caprices might arise in one’s imagination is not difficult and requires no restraint.
Inference: Lifelong monogamy requires self-control and endurance
Premise: It is not possible to fail at indulgence whilst it is very possible to fail at a difficult task
Conclusion: Homosexuals and other moral deviants can shout and parade about their ‘freedom’ to indulge in hedonistic behavior without fear of failure. To fail to say yes to a capricious behavior would only make one (slightly) less of a hedonist. Conversely, a modern moralist shrinks back from such proclamations, since failure to resist an indulgent opportunity would blemish one’s persona; marking one as a hypocrite.
This is quite a dilemma.
