If you have spent any time reviewing my recent posts, you can probably guess that I am pretty excited about Django, Python and many things related. Python is pretty cool in it’s own right- syntactical ‘sugar’, comedy references and all that. Django is also very attractive: named after a great musician, and a framework that allows you to create great applications quickly: WITH CODE. I can’t stand ‘frameworks’ that brag about how you ‘don’t even have to know the coding language’…
Anyways, what has really made Django so much fun for me lately is finding the other Django users and their solutions. It is like finding a whole group of friends that you didn’t know you had!
Tonight I was tinkering with comments, and came across mechanical girl, who has a nice little write-up on Taking the Ugly out of Django Comments. I will probably never meet this person in ‘real life’, but they just gave me a gift: shared a bit of their own experience with me. It’s like hidden treasure that was left there just for me!
